Accounting Scholarship
The Accounting Scholarship Award was established by faculty members R. Archie,
R. Gavin, D. Gentekos, M. Farhat, J. Johnson, J. Murray, and K. Yancy to encourage students to pursue careers in accounting and economics at 2-year and 4-year institutions. One accounting student will be awarded $1,000. Students are encouraged to apply by the end of December.
To be eligible, the student must meet the criteria below:
1. Be an accounting major or a general business major, and must have completed Accounting 101 and 102 with an A in both classes
2. Be a full-time student, and possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
3. Have completed and earned a minimum of 24 credits
4. Applicants must file a financial aid application (FAFSA), although applicants do not have to receive aid to be eligible
