John and Mary Gentekos Memorial Scholarship Award

The John and Mary Gentekos Memorial Scholarship Award was established by Dennis Gentekos, Frank Gentekos, Richard Prentice, and Thomas Barnabie to encourage students to pursue careers in accounting and economics at 2-year and 4-year institutions. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded.

To be eligible, the student must meet the criteria below:

1. Be an accounting major or a general business major and must have completed

a. Accounting 101 or 102 with an A in either class b. Economics 181 and 182 with an A in either class

2. Be a full-time student, and possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

3. Have completed and earned a minimum of 24 credits

4. Applicants must file a financial aid application (FAFSA), although applicants do not have to receive aid to be eligible
