Captain Matt LeTourneau Fire Science Scholarship

The Captain Matt LeTourneau Fire Science Scholarship provides a scholarship for part-time or full-time students with at least six credits, a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and who are enrolled in Community College of Philadelphia’s Fire Science program. Captain Matthew LeTourneau was an 11-year veteran firefighter of the Philadelphia Fire Department and was beloved and well-respected in his field. He died on January 6, 2018, after bravely fighting a house fire in North Philadelphia, and was posthumously made a captain. This scholarship was made possible by the Captain Matt LeTourneau Memorial Foundation to carry on Captain LeTourneau’s passion for education and training.
