AlliedUniversal Security Services Scholarship

AlliedUniversal Security Services Scholarship recognizes a high acheiving student who intends to pursue an associate’s degree at Community College of Philadelphia. The scholarship will provide up to $5,000 toward tuition and fees for one student for one academic year. The actual award amount is based on the recipient’s enrollment status. If the recipient is full-time, the funds can be expended over a period of one year; if the recipient is part-time, the funds can be expended over the course of two years. Books and other materials are not covered by the scholarship. Funding for a second year of the scholarship is contingent upon continued funding from AlliedUniversal Security Services and the recipient maintaing a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

To be eligible for the AlliedUniversal Security Services Scholarship, applicants must meet the criteria below:

Applicants must fall into one of the following categories:
•AlliedUniversal employee, currently enrolled or planning to enroll at Community College of Philadelphia; OR,
•High school senior, graduating from high school in June, planning to enroll at Community College of Philadelphia in fall; OR,
•Current Community College of Philadelphia student who has earned 15 or less credits (as of spring) and will continue his/her studies in fall; OR,
•Be a member of the Police Athletic League (PAL).
•Applicants must have applied for admission to Community College of Philadelphia prior to submitting an application for this scholarship.
•Community College of Philadelphia students and high school applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must submit a transcript for review.
•Applicants may be full-time or part-time.
•Applicants may be enrolled in any program of study at Community College of Philadelphia, however, Justice is preferred.
•Applicants must apply on MyCCP (see attached instructions) by the deadline of June 30.
•Applicants must be a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
•Applicants must submit one recommendation from a teacher/faculty member, community leader, supervisor, or guidance counselor (high school students).
•Finalists will be required to participate in an interview.
