Workforce Development Programs Scholarships

The Community College of Philadelphia Foundation is pleased to offer students enrolling in the College’s workforce development programs the following scholarship opportunities:

Career and Advanced Technology Center Scholarship – Made possible with funding from Urban Research Park, this scholarship supports students enrolled in the skilled trades programs offered at the College’s Career and Advanced Technology Center.

Energy Training Scholarship – Made possible through the generosity of a donor, this scholarship supports credit and noncredit students enrolled in programs that prepare students to fill current and future skills gaps and job openings in the energy industry.

Edward Horn Scholarship Endowment – Made possible through the generosity of a donor, this scholarship supports students enrolled in the College’s CNC Precision Machining Technology or other Advanced Manufacturing programs. Students must be pursuing the skills needed for industry certification and have completed at least half of the training.

Sidewater Scholarship Program – Made possible through the generosity of the Kate and Sam Sidewater Foundation, this scholarship supports students pursuing workforce training programs to enter a new field or increase their skills to advance their career.

Joan M. Wismer Scholarship for Pharmacy Technician Certification Studies – Made possible through the generosity of the Joan M. Wismer Foundation, this scholarship will support students enrolled in the College’s Pharmacy Technician Training Program, which prepares them for certification in the field.

Workforce and Economic Innovation Scholarship – Made possible through the generosity of the Wanamaker Institute of Industries, this scholarship supports students who are Philadelphia residents, underemployed or unemployed, have financial need, and are enrolled an approved training program.

Boo & Loo Scholarship – Made possible through the generosity of a donor, this scholarship supports students enrolled in a noncredit workforce development training program.

Hilda & Preston Davis Welding Technology Scholarship – Through the generosity of the Hilda & Preston Davis Foundation, Community College of Philadelphia is able to offer a limited number of Hilda & Preston Davis Welding Technology Scholarships for students interested in pursuing a career in Welding. The scholarship pays the full $6,000 cost of tuition for enrollment in the Welding Technology 300 Hour Program at the Career and Advanced Technology Center.
