Donald Slavin Scholarship

The Community College of Philadelphia Foundation provides the Donald G. Slavin Memorial Scholarship each year to one student. The scholarship will provide up to $1,500 toward the recipients’ tuition to recognize his/her achievement in the pre-requisite Chemistry courses at the College. Students meeting the eligibility criteria listed below are encouraged to apply by March 8.

Eligibility criteria:
1. Student must have completed College Chemistry I (Chem 121) at Community College of Philadelphia with a minimum grade of B.
2. Student must be currently enrolled in College Chemistry II (Chem 122) at Community College of Philadelphia.
3. Student must be registered to take Organic Chemistry I (Chem 221) at the College during the next summer or fall semester.
4. Student must possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 in all courses.
