Max Smith Book Scholarship

The National Association of University Women (NAUW), Philadelphia Branch is excited to offer students the opportunity to apply for the Max Smith Book Award. This book award was established in honor Maxine Smith, who dedicated her life to actively working and serving the Philadelphia community as a member of the NAUW. In honoring her legacy and the mission of NAUW to promote educational development and community service, the NAUW will disburse a $800 book award (fall and spring terms) to a student who meets all the following criteria:

Enrolled in an associate degree program
No previous college experiences
Resident of Philadelphia, PA
Demonstrated financial need

Females are encouraged to apply. The book award winner will be asked to attend the National Association of University Women Annual Scholarship Celebration.
