The David S. Callan Memorial Scholarship for Nursing Students

The David S. Callan Memorial Scholarship for Nursing Students was established by Lois Toeppe in memory of her son. Ms. Toeppe was an Assistant Professor in the Nursing Program at Community College of Philadelphia for 25 years. The scholarship provides two $500 awards to second year Nursing students who are experiencing financial hardships and who, in addition to attending the College, have obligations such as a job, children, etc. Eligible students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must have completed Nursing 101 and Nursing 132. Recipients will be selected by Nursing faculty in the spring and awards will be disbursed in the fall.
